Nice intervals and the Just Scale

To illustrate the number of "nice" intervals in the Just scale, refer to the figure below where all the perfect major 3rd's, 4th's, and 5th's over a two octave range are shown. In contrast, the only "perfect" interval for the equal tempered scale is the octave.


(Here "1" is an octave, and "2" is the next octave, the vertical lines represent the notes of the just scale.)
